SZA Soldiers Through NYC Performance With Torn Ligament

SZA
SZA wasn’t about to let a torn ligament in her foot stop her from a gig in New York City.
Sporting fuzzy, platform, pink slippers and a brace on her right foot, the singer used a crutch to take the stage Friday (March 16) at Samsung 837, a show marking the company’s new Galaxy S9 phone, also released Friday.
“I don’t really have a plan, but we’re gonna, like, wing this,” she said after singing her first song, holding onto the microphone stand for support.
Accompanied by three musicians, SZA performed some of her set while seated in a chair, but managed to dance a bit while the Travis Scott verse played from her hit, “Love Galore,” and she used both crutches while singing her popular slow groove and crowd favorite, “The Weekend,” according to The Associated Press.
Sporting a long sleeved, tie-dye-styled shirt and white pants, she thanked the audience for “vibing with me.”
