Langston Kerman aka “Rent-A-Boo” from Insecure has a lot of hidden talents that most people would not know about him. He’s taught high school English, has a master’s in poetry and is a stand up comedian!
“Yah it’s a waste of time don’t do it,” said Kerman of his master’s degree. “If y’all were going to go back to school do something else.”
Being on Insecure has changed so many things and brought new opportunities for him. “It changed everything man. It really has,” expressed Kerman. “I am rent-a-boo for the rest of my life but its been a nice thing to have people recognize me.”
Most people are not familiar with Kerman’s stand up career but he hopes to change that.”But people don’t know I’m funny. I’ve been doing stand up for 8 years,” he said.
His type of comedy is more of a punchy approach. “I talk a lot of trash. I like to stir it up,” he laughed. “You just want to talk about the stuff you live as much as you can.”
He’ll be performing at Caroline’s on Broadway February 23-25.
