Larenz Tate Is All About Celebrating Black Excellence
Larenz Tate and Erica Ash recently had the privilege of hosting the Bounce Trumpet Awards honoring Black excellence and achievement in the community.
“Very thankful to be alive and woke on so many levels,” expressed Tate. “We’re celebrating Black excellence, the achievement of Black folks.” He continued, “For Bounce and the Trumpet Awards and to co-host along with Erica was a blast we had a really good time.”
“It was a really amazing show, we honor people like Jermaine Dupri for all the things he’s been able to do in music,” explained Tate. “There’s not a bunch of categories. We’re straight up celebrating Black excellence.”
We all want to know what his character on the hit HBO show Power is getting up to? “Listen everybody wants to assume that the councilmen is a ‘politician.’ Are all politicians dirty,” asked Tate. “Listen those are the things that I’m not able to say. I’m going to let the audience determine that.”
However he can’t say too much about it. “We’re sworn to secrecy because people are so attached to this show because they don’t want to have an spoilers unless you’re 50 Cent,” laughed Tate.
