It’s time. Yes, Black people, it is time for you to show up and show out for Black Panther, the new Marvel superhero movie set to hit screens on Friday, February 16th. The highly anticipated – by Black Twitter and everyone else – movie stars Chadwick Boseman in the title role as T’Challa, the ruler of the African kingdom of Wakanda. If you’ve seen the trailer you know Wakanda is a place where everyone obviously is melanin-enriched, trained in warrior fighting skills and dresses fabulously.

To get a jump on the crowd – because if you aren’t going to see Black Panther, your Black card is permanently revoked – you can buy tickets now, over a month in advance. In some theaters with premium seating arrangements, shows are already sold out, so this gives you an opportunity to make sure you get in before everyone else does.
