NBC Nightly News threw a holiday dance party for staffers and crew last week at 30 Rock, and anchor Lester Holt kicked things off with a lip sync battle against weekend anchor Kate Snow.
According to spies for TVNewser, both anchors performed two tunes each. Snow kicked things off with “No Roots” by Alice Merton, and Holt performed Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
Round two, however, involved props. Snow got into character for her performance of MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This,” rocking Hammer pants and a gold nameplate that read BO$$.
Holt dressed the part to perform the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” rocking an afro and leather fringe.

TVNewser wasn’t told who won, but it was apparently quite a sight to behold.
Additional NBC Newsers hit the dance floor to more Michael Jackson tunes and “Copa Cabana,” including Al Roker, Cynthia McFadden, and Dylan Dreyer. Other NBC talent in the crowd included Ann Thompson, Morgan Radford, Harry Smith, as well as local newsers Janice Huff and Lester’s son, WNBC anchor Stefan Holt.
