Break out star and comedian Tiffany Haddish is about to really leave her mark on Hollywood.

The Girls Trip actress has just picked up two new films as the lead. You read that right, she’s playing the lead actress.

Vanity Fair reports:

The first film is New Line’s “The Kitchen”, according to Variety, a drama based on a cult comic-book series about a group Irish Mafia wives in 1970’s New York. When the F.B.I. arrests some of their husbands, the women end up taking over the business, putting their own violent twist on things.

The film is supposed to be directed by Andrea Berloff the writer for Straight Outta Compton produced by Michael De Luca.

Not much is known about the second film called The Temp, but we do know that Haddish will be partnered with Girls Trip producer Will Packer.

After starring in Girls Trip with Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, and Jada Pinkett Smith Haddish tore right through Hollywood appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live and breaking history on Saturday Night Live as the first African-American female comedian to host the show.

Haddish is getting ready to go on her stand up tour called She Ready in 2018.
