Shots were fired in a Starbucks in Chicago late Thursday night November 3, 2017, injuring two and killing one.

NBC Chicago reports that a masked gunman entered the café around 8:15 p. m.

Of the wounded, a 12-year-old boy was shot in the groin and rushed to Luire Children’s Hospital in critical condition according to police.

A man reported to be in his 20s was also shot and took himself to a Weiss Hospital. Another man in his 20s was shot and found dead at the scene.

Chicago police say that shooting could have been the result of a drug deal gone wrong. The man who died was chased into the Starbucks by the suspect which resulted in the injuries of two people.

Chicago police Cmdr. Marc Buslik believes that the wounded knew the dead man saying, “We believe that the three victims did know each other,” also adding that he wasn’t sure if one of the men was the boy’s father.

At this point, police have arrested no one for this crime.
