Hurricane Harvey has devastated the Houston community and has made life very hard for people.

Houston NAACP President Dr. James Douglas has helped create a disaster relief center for survivors.

“One of the things we all know in this country is that often where there are disasters, communities of colors, minority communities are often overlooked during the recovery period. One of the things we wanted to do at the NAACP was make sure that there was a stop gap.  We created this disaster support command center to help those people who fall through the cracks.”
