ABC’s The Mayor is one of the few new shows this fall we are looking forward to.
The show centers around rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall) whose publicity stunt gets him elected as the Mayor of his hometown in California. Yvette Nicole Brown plays Mr. Rose’s mom on the show.
“I play his mom. I was a young mother and had him, so we kind of rose up together,” she explained on the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
TJMS Monday co-host Arsenio Hall has a role on the show as a preacher, “You know I can’t get away from playing preachers but my dad up in heaven is very happy because he was a preacher,” Hall quipped.
