Tasha Smith calls in to talk about her directorial debut When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakley Story which is airing on TV One.
The film looks at the life of Falicia Blakley who was an exotic dancer that gets picked up by a pimp only to end up in jail with HIV. Smith explained, “It’s a very tragic story, you guys! But I look at it as a cautionary tale.”
For anyone that watches the film, Smith says, “people can see how one can get manipulated to do crazy stuff.”
