LaVar Ball has already made headlines as one of the most controversial Black sports fathers ever – surpassing Cecil Newton, Richard Williams and Earl Woods, whose children, Cam, Serena, Venus and Tiger have all gone on to stellar careers.

Whether or not that applies to likely lottery pick Lonzo Ball or LaVar’s other two basketball playing sons if unclear, but what’s crystal clear is LaVar’s ability to make social media headlines.

The outspoken father of former UCLA star Lonzo Ball said Wednesday on Fox Sport 1’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” that it will now cost a shoe company $3 billion to make a deal with his Big Baller Brand.

“If they want to talk to me now, it just went up to $3 billion. Triple Bs — billion, billion, billion,” LaVar said.

He also got into a Twitter ready dustup with co-host Kristine Leahy, who questioned his parenting and why his shoes aren’t made in a female version. His response to her went viral, of course.

He also repeated that he wants Lonzo to play only for the Los Angeles Lakers, the hometown team that got the No. 2 pick Tuesday night in the NBA draft lottery.

“Now that Lonzo’s headed to Los Angeles, what they should have done is give me a billion dollars and let me be on my way,” LaVar said.

LaVar said he has sold 400 to 500 pairs of the $495 ZO2 shoes, and has no need to market his products to women.

Americanize he did go to far. He is on a show being interviewed and she is a part of that show. She had every right to ask him questions. He was a rude asswipe. People don’t have to put up with that chit. He’s gonna ruin it for him and his son. I see Newton left stage with his lip poked out after his daddy talked all that chit. lol

Wow ok. I think he and his son are in for a rude awakening. Magic is now President of Operations for the Lakers. My guess is he is not the type who would take salary demands from a new players father. Interesting
