A 25-year-old named Ranika Hall is dead after she traveled to Florida to have a Brazilian Butt Lift.

NBC 6 reports:

She told her family she wanted to get what’s known as the Brazilian Butt Lift because she wasn’t happy with what her recent pregnancy did to her body.

She left her one-year old daughter in the care of her mother, Nicole Hall.

“I tried to talk her out of it. I really did,” Hall said. “Her sisters and her brothers tried to talk her out of it.”

Ranika Hall, 25, scheduled her procedure at Hialeah’s Eres Plastic Surgery.

Thursday just before 9p.m., paramedics were called to the center at 1738 W. 49th St. in Hialeah for a female patient who had lost consciousness and was not breathing, according to Hialeah Police.

Ranika Hall was taken to the hospital where she was declared dead an hour later.

“Unbelievable like it’s not true,” Hall said about her daughter’s death. “It’s hard for me to grasp a hold of it.”

Family says they can’t afford to come to town and are arranging to bring her body home from there. Hall also wants to know why her daughter died.

“I know it’s supposed to be a common procedure,” Hall said. “I’m looking for answers.”

According to the Doctors with the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation, patients are 20 times more likely to die from a Brazilian Butt Lift than any other cosmetic surgery procedure.

DYING FROM A BUTT LIFT? WHAT THE HELL IS SO DANGEROUS ABOUT IT? THE PRODUCTS BEING USED TO LIFT THE BUTT, THE MEDICATION BEING USED? WHAT? IAMMA HAVE TO KEEP THIS BIG OLE BOOTY AND KEEP A GURTLE WHEN IT STARTS TO DROOP. HOW SAD, SHE LOST HER LIFE AND THE BABY LOST HER MOMMA…

  2. This is so sad that she lost her life during an elected cosmetic procedure. Her family seemed to have sensed the danger. Also, during this time period, Venus Retrograde, it is never good to have cosmetic surgery. Feel free to “Google It”. My heart goes out to the family she leaves to mourn her death.

Black women so desperate for DNA (Dick-n-Attention) that they are willing to risk their lives. 20 times the risk. The father of her recent child must be terribly distraught.

Wow! 20 times more likely to die from from a Brazilian But Lift…No thank you! I will take my flat butt on and sit it down somewhere. Ladies…be happy with the body you have. Do some lunges and some squats…not worth the risk.
