  1. Hi,

I came across your website from searching for a list of black owned beauty supply stores and it’s awesome! Thanks for taking the time to write this post. Is it possible to add our store to your list for the state of Colorado? Our store information is as follows:

    Wigs & Beauty Supply
    5145 Chambers Rd. Unit D.
    Denver, CO 80239
    303-574-3088

  2. Here’s another one to add to the list: Envy Beauty Supply Salon/ Barbers located at 9525 Southwest Freeway in Houston, Texas is a Black and Brown owned one stop beauty supply, salon and barber shop.

Here is the problem, the Asians have a monopoly of the distribution network of 98% of the beauty products. That way they can control who is allowed to enter the retail side of the business. Guess who they don’t want competing with them for retail sales? Yup, blacks. So black owned hair care, aka weave shops, are relegated to purchasing and selling lower quality products from Malaysia. I commend supporting your own, but you aren’t getting you money’s worth or even close.

    • We have to start somewhere. We fell asleep, and woke up to OUR HAIR being bought and sold by someone’s who HATE US more than whites people. Just to buy cheap products. Now, the U.S. courts has already banned dreadlocks. What will be next??? Will it be braids, cornrows, natural’s???

We have a black owned convenience store in my area. they even had a lottery winner (who was also black) winning $375,000 in their store. thanks for the info.

  6. I would love to support African American owned Beauty Supply Businesses!!!!!
I would rather give my $$$ to US than to those damn Asians!!!!!!!!!

Back in the day 99.999% of the Beauty Supply businesses were Black owned.
I don’t know or care how the Asians came to be in this business now!!!!!!
