Most known for his films Trois, Stomp The Yard and The Gospel Director and Producer Rob Hardy returns to the small screen in the new BET series The Quad, starring Anika Noni Rose.
He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the scripted series and how Stomp The Yard was the foundation for the new show.
On the similarities between The Quad‘s story line and real-life HBCUs:
“Because so many would talk about the band, we wanted to get into the idea of if that happens at your school, why does that happen. If it happens, what’s the mentality behind it. We wanted people to take a look at that. We wanted the show to feel real.”
