Stephen G. Hill, BET’s President of Programming, talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the network’s record-breaking hit series The New Edition Story and reveals which member of the group just may be getting their own biopic.

“I won the bet! Over 17M viewers and I get to join them on stage for If It Isn’t Love,” he said. “It’s a story of brotherhood…it’s such a black story. They’ve known each other for 40 years. The great thing about this, it’s a brotherhood.”

  1. I crack up every time I think about Whitney screaming Bobby, Bobby, Bobby Bobby on their reality show. And, what about her (was it Barbara Walters, or Diane Sawyer) interview where she said Crack is Wack! LOL Pure crack head jargon. I still miss Whitney’s beautiful singing voice.

The New Edition movie was great!! Don’t need to put the spotlight on one individual. Don’t mess up a good thing.

  3. I enjoyed their story, looks like it was done with a lot of input from all. I don’t think bobby needs a separate one, he had being bobby brown so we know who he is, just like in this series, he had to be the one to get all the attention. Sit down, we know your story and although I like BB, his story is not pretty or special.
