Ford’s HBCU Challenge is an amazing opportunity for schools to win scholarship money. Raj Register, the Multicultural Communications Manager at Ford & Lincoln Motor Company and this year’s winner, Fred Okafor of Prairie View A&M, talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the winning project.

What is Triple E and how does it work?

“It’s three digital meters – water, gas and electricity. We install them into people’s home or businesses and the meters are watching…it will let you read real-time on your phone or tablet, how much water you’re using. Same thing with electricity. It will tell you how many currents you’re using,” Okafor said.

  1. Finally, I hear the TJMS show acknowledge Prairie View A&M University. Other HBCU’s are often mentioned, but have never heard reporting about Prairie View A&M University. As an alumni, I am so proud of this school and the productive people that has been produced.
