Sheryl Lee Ralph returns to Broadway in Wicked as Madame Morrible, the first African American to star in the role. The Tony award winning actress talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about being part of history and how she manages the demanding schedule.

“It’s so nice to be in a show that’s living forever. We like to break that creative glass ceiling. This time they looked at the character and they cast the talent.”

Balancing eight shows a week:

“I’m tired. Your feet hurt, your neck hurt, your back hurt. But it’s great.”

In addition to being on stage, Sheryl will also guest star in Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn on November 22nd.

I’ve always like Ms. Ralph she is an exceptional actress, but never has seemed to reached the heights or accolades as actors with far less acting abilities. She can out-act some of them in her sleep.
