Silento is widely known for his catchy track and dance Whip (Nae Nae). He performs the infectious track at the 2016 Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion in Orlando and the 18-year-old talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about how he was discovered and what his plans are now that he’s graduated high school.
“I was outside of Chemistry class doing the Nae Nae and someone recorded it and I put it on Instagram. It got 100 comments from females, so I said, I need to keep doing this. I put it online and one day it got 1000 clicks and the next day it got 10,000 and then 100,000…and then Capitol Records emailed me,” he said.
