Writer and producer Deborah Riley is sharing her latest cinematic work that follow the 18 African Americans, 16 men and 2 women, who defied Jim Crow and Adolf Hitler to win hearts and medals at the 1936 Summer Olympic Games. Narrated by famed actor Blair Underwood, Olympic Pride, American Prejudice, also includes exclusive interviews with Carl Lewis, Isiah Thomas, Anita DeFrantz, Ambassador Andrew Young and Lonnie Bunch, III.
Riley and Underwood talk to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about the importance of the film and why its story is often forgotten.
Olympic Pride, American Prejudice opens in New York and LA this Friday, August 5th.
