Last week, Future filed a motion to dismiss Ciara’s $15 million dollar lawsuit filed against him on charges of slander and libel. He believes the entire case is nonsensical and nothing he said to the media or on social media was defamatory, per thejasminebrand.com.
In her complaint, Ciara alleged that Future, who is also the father of her 1-year-old son Future Zahir Wilburn, made several “false and defamatory statements” about her parenting skills and her relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. She pointed out that Future ranted on Twitter in January about how she supposedly has “control problems” and he blasted her for making him go through lawyers in order to see his son.
To refute Future’s claim, Ciara revealed she made adjustments to ensure her baby daddy is able to spend some quality time with their son. In another incident, Future, who was reportedly upset about how Russell Wilson was involved in his son’s life, said, “Leave my son out of the publicity stunts. Just leave him out of your relationship.”
In his motion, Future explains the tweets that Ciara claimed ruined her reputation — pointing out that he commented on her new love Russell when asked by the media about both of them being open about their decision to abstain from sex until marriage.
In regards to his tweets containing the following statements, “This bitch got control problems ….”, “I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture..the fuckery for 15k a month” and multiple others, he says that he called Ciara was a ‘bitch’ due to her being “overbearing”, “complaining” and “unpleasant.” He says he has a right to have an opinion about his baby momma controlling his visitation rights with their son.
He also stands by his tweet regarding lawyers, saying he has had to hire a team of them to help him see his son more frequently. The $15k a month comment was the amount Ciara was demanding he pay or she would sue him and demand $20k a month in child support.
Ciara and Future called it quits in August 2014, and he has since been vocal about his disapproval of Russell Wilson being around his son.
