Mike Epps’ estranged wife Mechelle McCain isn’t walking away from their marriage without making sure she remains a kept woman. According to docs in their divorce case, Mechelle wants spousal support as well as full legal custody of the couple’s two children, BOSSIP reports.

Epps met Mechelle McCain while filming “The Fighting Temptations,” (in which they appeared alongside Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Beyoncé). McCain had a minor, non-speaking role in the movie as Epps’ character’s girlfriend. They married in July 2006, and they have two daughters, aged 10 and 8. Epps filed for divorce in January, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. He has two other children, Bria Epps, from a previous relationship (born 1993), and Makayla Epps, from a previous relationship (born 1999).

McCain-Epps has also said that her marriage breakdown was due to “irreconcilable differences.” She confessed that she had been blindsided by Epps’ decision to file for divorce. Mechelle listed their date of separation as February 2016, while Mike said in his filing that they’d been apart since June 2015. Wifey wants a judge to consider all martial assets and determine what she is entitled to.

“Respondent is in the process of ascertaining the nature, type and extent of the parties community and quasi-community property assets, debts and claims of reimbursement,” McCain-Epps wrote May 17, according to court docs.

She also wants the judge to rule that the “Uncle Buck” star must pay her lawyer fees. You may recall when Mechelle outed her husband for direct messaging another woman on social media. Model Lira Galore also blasted Mike for being thirstily on her Twitter DMs.

Epps recently featured in Marlon Wayan’s “50 Shades of Black,” and he currently stars on ABC’s “Uncle Buck.” Mike is also prepping to play Richard Pryor in the long-awaited biopic.
