A few weeks after the Billboard Music Awards’ tribute to Prince, BET has proven that their tribute to the the Purple One will indeed be what fans have been clamoring for since news broke that the icon died of an overdose in April.
Along with Janelle Monae, D’Angelo, The Roots and Sheila E., the network promises that there will be more performances added to the show, but we’ve got to admit, so far so good.
Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson will return as hosts of the 2016 BET Awards. The show airs live from Los Angeles., June 26th.
