Taraji P. Henson took it back to high school for one of the covers of her upcoming memoir, “Around the Way Girl.”

Due October 11, the title borrows from LL Cool J’s 1990 anthem about wanting a girl “with extensions in her hair; bamboo earrings, at least two pair.”

One of the double covers features Henson’s high school photo, in all its asymmetrical glory. The other cover features glamour shot of the “Empire” star in a body-hugging white dress.

The memoir will detail her life growing up in D.C., being a single mother and trying to master Hollywood Shuffle as a black woman.
