John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are new parents!
Teigen gave birth to their daughter, named Luna Simone Stephens, weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces. While there’s no word on the exact delivery date, we get from the posting that it went well and the baby and mommy are doing fine.
“She’s here!,” Teigen says. “Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy.”
The couple celebrated their child with two baby showers, one in New York City and the other in Los Angeles, hosted by the Kardashians. Teigen noted before they got pregnant that her and her Grammy-award winning husband had been trying for years to get pregnant.
“I would say, honestly, [that] John and I were having trouble,” the model revealed on the now cancelled FabLife daytime show. “We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process.”
The couple were able to get pregnant and have been pretty transparent about the joys and funny moments of pregnancy on social media.
“I want a huge family,” Teigen told Us Magazine. “We want a lot of kids. When it happens, it happens. For us it’s hard because he’s on the road so much and I’m working. People think it happens so easily.. but the stars really have to align to have a baby and it is a little miracle, so when it happens …we will be so happy.”
