Well now, this is quite interesting.

This morning, Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross was on FOX 5’s “Good Day New York” and confessed to the hosts about her initial dislike of co-star Anthony Anderson.

On Not Liking Anthony Anderson at first:

“I wasn’t trying to be funny. I didn’t like him. He wasn’t my co-star at the time. We had worked together and he can have an abrasive personality. And if you don’t know him, it can be interpreted as abrasive, is what I’ll say. He’s got a bold personality, as do I, and he had said a couple of things to me that I did not like…I’m not gunna repeat them, because if you don’t like them why would you say them again? He had said a couple of things that I didn’t like and I was like, ‘I’m not a fan of his. I’m not a fan.’”

On Why She Took The Role Anyway:

“It was a wonderful role, and I am a very open human and just because I have a first impression of somebody doesn’t mean that’s who they are. And thank goodness I grew passed that because he’s a wonderful guy.”

“No, not only are we friends [now]. He is the best partner in the world. We have a wonderful, wonderful working relationship. I adore him. It’s literally funny to me, I’m like ‘How did I not like you?’”

How Long It Took Until She Grew To Like Him:

“Immediately. Immediately when I went in for the audition, it was just a different relationship. And, it’s great. It works on and off camera. We’re like TV married.”

 Watch:

In other black-ish news, HipHollywood is reporting that during Sunday afternoon’s Paley Fest, one of its stars, Peter Mackenzie, who plays Anderson’s boss, dropped this mini-bombshell:  “[Rain]Bow is having a baby. There is a new baby, a new addition.”

Hmm, well after that  revelation, HipHollywood caught up with Anderson for confirmation, whose response was “Who told you that?”

However, when asked what viewers can expect from Season 3 this fall, he fessed up:

“I guess a baby. I guess sleepless nights. I guess burping. We haven’t figured that out yet. We know how we’ve ended Season 2, obviously you do, too. We need to figure out how we are going to tackle another 24 episodes.”
