On Thursday, January 14, guest co-host Brandy exclusively shares with the ladies her plans to never marry again, and chats about her new BET series “Zoe Ever After.” Plus, get filled in on foods to get in the mood while you “Netflix and Chill,” and tips to get in shape using items you already have around the house!
Brandy: I’m so satisfied being…being by myself. I love it. I don’t, I don’t… I’ve never taken this much time on myself.
Loni Love: But let them know, you date though, right?
Brandy: I don’t date.
Loni: Girl, I do.
Brandy: I haven’t been on a date in like a year.
Adrienne Bailon: Wait, so I want to know why?
Brandy: Well, because, um… I don’t know. I just like me right now. I just like the way it feels being by myself and taking care of my daughter and just doing my thing. I’m all about my career right now.
Jeannie Mai: And I think every woman should enjoy that period. Every woman, if you have the chance to enjoy that moment before you’re married, do it.
Adrienne: But wait, she’s saying she doesn’t ever see marriage in the future.
Brandy: I don’t.
Jeannie: I think it’s too far to look ahead though. For right now, you’re just enjoying where you are.
Adrienne: Hey, you don’t know what’s far ahead for her.
Brandy: I don’t want to go down that road.
Jeannie: You know you don’t want to?
Brandy: I know I don’t want to. Yes.
Loni: Thank you, Brandy. I’ve been trying to tell these heifers right here about this and they don’t believe me. They want to push. And you know what, what she’s saying, it might happen for you. But for right now, you doing you and we have to respect that and that’s all we ask…. That people respect…people want to be themselves.
Adrienne: I never get, why people would hear something like that and go, [changes voice] “Oh no, no, trust me, you wanna…” And you’re like, “No, I don’t and you can’t convince me.”
Brandy: Yeah, I’m good.
Loni: ‘Cause the people don’t want to believe it. People do not think, they’re like, “No, you want love.” And I’m like, “I didn’t say I don’t want love. I didn’t say I didn’t want companionship. I just said I don’t want to get married.”
Brandy: I like self-love a little bit better right now.
Tamera Mowry-Housley: And Brandy’s loving herself and that’s beautiful. Love yourself!
Brandy: That’s right, girl!
