They say prostitution is the world’s oldest profession. But as some Atlanta “escorts” found out this weekend, it’s not a job that comes without risks. Two women told police they’d come to meet a client at a hotel in Buckhead, an upscale Atlanta suburb when they were robbed.

AJC.com reports:

The women, whose names were not released, told police a man came to their room at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel and Conference Center and discussed prices for about 10 minutes, Officer Kim Jones said in an emailed statement.

“He then started to leave and when the door opened, the second suspect forced his way inside while holding a handgun,” Jones said. “One suspect would point the gun at the victims while the other went through the victims’ property.”

One woman said she was naked and the second was forced to take off her clothes, police said. The two men took $3,000 from one woman and $640 from the other before leaving the room. The women ran after the suspects, but stopped when the men ran down the stairs, Jones said.

A hotel guest in another room called 911 after seeing the naked women running down the hall after the men, according to police. Officers were called to the hotel shortly before 10 a.m.

Surveillance video from Lenox Square Mall showed the two men running into a parking garage, but the quality was not good enough for officers to identify the men, police said. Hotel employees were also reviewing surveillance footage.
