The Waller County Jail employees who were involved in the case of Sandra Bland‘s death will not reportedly be indicted by a grand jury.

According to KPRC 2, the grand jury sat through hearing 8 hours of evidence earlier today, where they made the decision to not move forward with an indictment.

Special prosecutor, Lewis White, stated, “Something could happen today or nothing could happen today. Once we give the information to the grand jury, it’s their decision. That decision could take a day, that decision could take a week. That’s their decision.”

Reports also say that the grand jury is considering other indictments, but specific information was not revealed to the public.

Bland’s mother criticized the Texas judicial system, stating to the press, “Right now, the biggest problem for me is the entire process. I simply can’t have faith in a system that’s not inclusive of my family that’s supposed to have the investigation.

The grand jury is set to reconvene in January regarding the case of Sandra Bland, and possible decide on any criminal charges to the employees.

If you recall, Sandra Bland was arrested at a traffic stop and booked in the county jail, but was found dead three days later in her cell. While prosecutors ruled it as a suicide, her family has questioned otherwise.
