Eddie Murphy loves the kids. Or at least we figure he does as he and girlfriend Paige Butcher are expecting Murphy’s ninth child. It is the first for Butcher, who once dated hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.
Murphy, 54 and Butcher, 36, will welcome the baby in May of next year. The new addition will make Butcher a first time mother, but won’t be Murphy’s first go-round with children.
The actor has eight kids from previous relationships—Eric, 26, and Christian, 25. In addition to his five kids with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell; Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13. Murphy also has an 8-year-old daughter, Angel, with Melanie “Mel B” Brown.
In the meantime, Murphy has recently gotten back to his comedic roots.
In October the comedian, performed his first stand-up routine in decades as he accepted the coveted Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and delivered his much-talked about Bill Cosby impression.
