What would you do if you caught a white guy saying the  N-word? What if you caught your significant other going through your text messages? Executive Producer Will Packer explores situations just like these in his new hit show Truth Be Told.

Comedian Tone Bell stars as Russell, Mitch’s (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) best friend, neighbor and husband to Angie (Bresha Webb). He is a stand-up comic and has no fear when it comes to talking to someone or making a scene to prove his point.

“In the first episode, the white guy is so proud that he know a whole Jay Z song. So he wants to rap it in the car with his best friend. Under what conditions do you let your best friend say the N-word,” Packer says.

NBC’s Truth Be Told premieres Friday, October 16 at 8:30p/7:30p CST.

Congratulations to my fellow Savannah State University alum, Tone Bell… A true testament that “You can get anywhere from here” (SSU’s motto).
