Bobby Shmurda has been awaiting his trial for 10 months now, but it looks like he will be waiting for it to officially start next year.

According to Page Six, the “Hot Boy” rapper’s first trial hearing was set to begin today, where he had his newly-hired lawyer, Alex Spiro of the high-powered law firm Brafman & Associates, to represent him in the courtroom.

Reports say that the judge made the decision to push the trial date back until February 22, 2016, and denied Spiro’s request to release Shmurda on bail until the next hearing.

Shmurda’s bail has been set to $2 million since he was originally locked up last year, with the rest of his GS9 crew during a mass arrest while at Quad Studios. Reports say that he has also been listed as a flight risk due to his ties to Florida.

The rapper currently faces 25 years for his connection with a drug and firearm ring, several brazen public shootings and for the murder of a 19-year-old.

We will keep you updated with more on Shmurda’s trial.
