For Virginia couple Arkell and Dana Griffin-Graves, having a baby was a trying feat that resulted in several miscarriages and the birth of a stillborn baby. But after 17 years of marriage, the couple is now celebrating the upcoming birth of their son.

And in a new viral moment that has literally made the internet world weep, Mrs. Griffin-Graves recorded a video as she announced the unexpected new addition to their family and captured her husband’s touching reaction.

Griffin-Graves said she and husband had it all planned when they got married, but ran into many obstacles during her pregnancies. She delivered a stillborn child at 6 months old and had four miscarriages. After the emotional roller coaster, the couple decided to end their attempts.

Griffin Graves told WRIC-TV:

“It was definitely a struggle. A roller coaster with emotions going back and forth. I got to the point where I was you know what, I want to stop trying,”

When Graves told her husband she was five months pregnant, he was in complete shock.

“You’re pregnant!” he said after realizing what the pack of buns and ultrasound picture that his wife placed in the oven meant.

The couple said the pregnancy was completely unplanned, leaving Mr. Griffin-Graves speechless and eventually in “tears of joy,” he told WRIC-TV.

“I’d never been that excited in my life.”

Griffin-Graves’ baby boy is due in February. You can watch the emotional moment in the video above.
