Lifetime is continuing its trend of bringing some of pop culture and music’s best stories to the small screen — biopic style.
Next up, Grammy award-winning songstress and star of We’s hit show Braxton Family Values, Toni Braxton.
The network confirmed Toni’s story is in the works on Twitter.
According to Variety:
The authorized film will follow Braxton’s ups and downs through severe chronic illness, financial troubles and divorce while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles.
Braxton will executive produce and appear in the film, which is set to begin production later this year. “Un-Break My Heart” will also be executive produced by Craig Baumgarten, Erik Kritzer and Marcus Grant, and hails from Link Entertainment. The script was penned by Susan McMartin, with Vondie Curtis-Hall set to direct.
