A person with knowledge of the injury says Dallas cornerback Orlando Scandrick is out for the season after tearing two ligaments in his right knee.

Scandrick was injured in practice at training camp Tuesday in Oxnard, California. Video showed his leg bending awkwardly under rookie receiver Lucky Whitehead.

The person told The Associated Press that Scandrick tore the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in the knee. He will have surgery. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team had not announced the injury.

Secondary coach Jerome Henderson said Scandrick told him right after the injury, “It’s my ACL. I know it. It’s gone.”

The eighth-year player has 48 starts among his 102 games, with a career-high two interceptions each of the past two seasons.

No response yet from on-again, off-again reality show girlfriend, Draya Michele, who said recently that she’s had epic arguments with Scandrick, including calling him names and throwing objects at him when she’s angry.
