Tuesday was not a good day for Kelly Osbourne as her attempt to slam Donald Trump royally backfired on her.

Osbourne’s noticeable mistake occurred while she served as a guest co-host on “The View.” As the panel was discussing Trump’s controversial comments on immigration, regular co-host Rosie Perez mentioned that many Latinos in the U.S. agree “that the immigration problem is a problem and it does need to be addressed and it does need to be fixed.”

After Perez added to her point, saying Trump making “those racist comments” doesn’t help, Osbourne attempted to chime in but came up short.

“If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?” Osbourne said. From there, the scene was filled with an awkward silence and a gasp of shock that led to Perez debating Osbourne’ comment as the other co-hosts tried their best to clarify what Osbourne was trying to get across.

“Oh, I didn’t mean it like that, come on,” Osbourne told Perez. “No, I would never mean it like that.”

By the end of the show, Perez and Osbourne had made peace. Perez apologized to Osbourne for “being overly sensitive.” Osbourne responded, telling Perez her apology was unnecessary and that she “had every right” to be upset.

“No, Kelly Osbourne is on our side and I was sensitive,” Perez stated. “My disdain should go to only Donald Trump, so I’m sorry, darling.”

“No, you don’t have to apologize to me,” Osbourne said. “I love you, Rosie.”

Realizing how much of a mistake she made with her comment, Osbourne issued the following statement to the Huffington Post via her representative:

For her part, Perez continued diffusing the situation with tweeting the following comment to Osbourne:
