Orange is the new Rock – as in Chris Rock on Fox’s second season of “Empire.”
Director Lee Daniels Instagrammed some video from the set that reveal Rock’s guest starring role on the series – an inmate in jail with Lucious Lyon.
Daniels’ clips and pics from the first day of shooting show Rock and Terrence Howard in their jailhouse orange, out on the prison yard.

Rock is among a number of guest starts set for Season 2, including Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and possibly Oprah Winfrey.
Season 2 of “Empire” premieres Sept. 23, 2015 on Fox.
