In addition to being leading dentist in Atlanta, Dr. Heavenly Kimes is an author, inspirational speaker, business powerhouse, and relationship expert. For over 17 years, Dr. Heavenly has been making her mark on the dental industry and the business world with her straight-talk style, strategic expertise, and proven credentials. But that’s not all, she is the founder/owner of Smiles By Dr. Heavenly and has sold several profitable clinics.

Reality TV star can be added to her resume thanks to Bravo’s Married To Medicine. The show chronicles ladies of Atlanta’s exclusive medical inner circle Dr. Jacqueline Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Toya Bush-Harris, Quad Webb-Lunceford, and Lisa Nicole Cloud.

Heavenly has made no secret of her string faith ties on the show. She wanted fans to truly know who she was and understand that she was and is a faithful Christian.  Her walk is one that is sincere. She understands what it means to be a Christian woman with a public face. She has always allowed God to point her in the right direction. That is NOT a storyline.

Dr. Heavenly writes:

“I am a Christian. I believe in the Lord and I have always felt His presence in my life.

There have been times when I had to make critical decisions in my career and I turned to God for advice. Years ago, I was about to purchase a dental practice. It was very expensive and a big undertaking for me at the time. I prayed about it and asked God for a sign.

A couple weeks later, I was at home in Florida for Christmas with my mom. We were out shopping at a store and a woman came up to me claiming she was a prophetess. She asked me if I was about to open a business. I said I was and she replied that this was a good thing and that the business would be very successful. And it was.

My first year at Meharry Medical College, the financial aid department contacted me and said I had no financial aid. I didn’t know what I was going to do because I had no money. However, I prayed to God and trusted that he wouldn’t bring me this far to just leave me hanging. Two weeks later, the school called me and said they found money to cover my tuition.

I prayed about my decision to do reality TV. I wasn’t sure if my husband was going to be cool with it, but he was so supportive which has made this TV journey a valuable, productive experience.

I don’t know why God has had His hand on my life. I haven’t done anything to deserve it. But I trust Him and in doing so, I don’t worry about much. He also has my back.”

This season, the lines between the ladies’ personal and professional lives are blurred. Dr. Jackie’s passion for health leads her to start a fitness program but heartbreak hits home when she must deal with a family member’s illness. Dr. Simone’s practice is booming, but her personal life is about to implode when she dives into her past and figures out the root of her anger issues.

Meanwhile, Dr. Heavenly may bite off more than she can chew as an entrepreneur, relationship expert, dentist and mother, but faces a daunting dilemma when her husband pressures her to spend more time at home. Always reaching for the stars, Toya is on a mission to prove that she’s not just a doctor’s wife and helps Eugene take his medical concierge business to the next level. When Quad and Lisa run background checks on each other, the results reveal shocking transgressions that leave the two at odds.

“Married to Medicine” airs on Sunday nights at 9 pm.
