Who knew that cold cream has so many uses? Ever since I’ve discovered it, I am completely addicted! This pretty amazing formula acts as a moisturizer, deep-cleanser, acne treatment, make-up remover and face mask! The best part of it all is you can buy it at the drugstore (classic brands like Noxzema and Pond’s), or whip up a jar right in your very own kitchen. Try this recipe below and see how much your skin will thank you!
Ingredients
- 2-3 tablespoons of cosmetic grade beeswax pellets (or grated beeswax)
- 1/4 cup organic extra virgin coconut oil
- 1/2 cup organic extra virgin olive oil
- 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil
- 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil (preservative)

Directions
- Melt bees wax, coconut oil and olive oil in a saucepan on low heat. The beeswax is an emulsifier – keeps the oils from separating – and the coconut oil and olive oil are both wonderful for the skin.
- After the oils and beeswax are melted, add the lavender and vitamin E oil.
- Pour into a tempered glass bowl or stainless steel bowl.
- Blend with either a hand-held blender or use a standing mixer.
- Blend on medium speed for a few minutes, then on high for another few minutes.
- Once it turns thick and creamy you have the perfect consistency.
- Pour into a wide-mouthed jar for easy access.
- Let it sit for a day so that it will harden a bit more
How to Use
Make up remover: Apply a small amount (about the size of a grape) to your face and rub in a circular motion. Use a washcloth to wipe away.
Face wash: Massage cold cream on your face and wipe away with a warm washcloth. Rinse your face with warm water.
