Did Chrihanna really just released some new music together?! Well, it may not be new, but it is to our ears! The formerly unreleased track “Put It Up” was leaked online yesterday and we definitely pushed play on it!
Rihanna starts off with the first verse and Chris Brown smoothly chimes in, making it a slinky R&B duet about infatuation. The two sound great together (we’re just saying) and this would be the first time we’ve heard the two collaborate since “Nobody’s Business” which was for Riri’s Unapologetic LP and that oh-so-raunchy remix for “Birthday Cake.”
After a little digging, we found out that “Put It Up” was actually meant to be on Brown’s then upcoming X album. He revealed this information during an MTV News interview in 2013, but when the album was finally released in September 2014, no Rihanna cameos made the final cut.
