Carnival Cruise Lines CEO Arnold Donald, is setting sail on the 2015 Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage! He’s made it possible for FV 2015 participants to sail on the Carnival Breeze, one of the most lavish ships in the Carnival fleet.
For that reason and more, y0u can expect this to be the Cruise of the Century. Even a serious businessman like Donald is ready to let his hair down and get his groove on from April 11-19 as the Party with A Purpose sets sail from Miami en route to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Isla De Roat An.
“It’s the last chance to book, people; that ship is leaving soon and we’re going to have fun, fun, fun and party with a purpose,” says Donald.
This is the first year aboard the Carnival Breeze and Donald says cruisegoers are in for a treat. Literally.
“I love our ship. The Carnival Breeze is one of our 100 ships we have across our nine world-leading cruise line brands and the Breeze is just spectacular. We have great dining options – Cucina del Capitano, Guy Fieri burgers. You can find me at the burger joint or the barbecue. I’m looking forward to being with the people and enjoying the phenomenal entertainment that you have arranged.”
Donald say he loves all music, but is most looking forward to seeing the TJMS entertain the crowd with all their events, including the world-famous Light Skin vs. Dark-Skin Water Fight on Mahogany Bay beach, Represent Night, Red Night, the Pajama parties and other classic Fantastic Voyage events.
Unfortunately, though, Donald will have to head to a Carnival board meeting in London right from the cruise and will miss the Light Skin vs. Dark Skin water fight. (Imagine the contrast from the cruise to a board meeting, but apparently, Donald is up to the challenge.)
There are still a few, but just a few cabins left.
“This is a great cause, it’s absolutely going to be a great time. With the bad weather all over the U.S this winter, people want to get away and just enjoy themselves in beautiful environs with beautiful people for a great time and a great cause.”
As always the Fantastic Voyage benefits the Tom Joyner Foundation and its efforts to encourage and maintain attendance and graduation from our nation’s historically Black colleges and universities.
