First Lady Michelle Obama showed the world she is no slouch when it comes to dancing. Mrs. Obama stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote the fifth year anniversary of her Let’s Move campaign to combat childhood obesity. Mrs. Obama explained to Ellen she and her team created the #GimmeFive challenge, where they asked people to share five things they used to stay active.

Mrs. Obama announced during the show, which airs on Monday, she and the dancers from So You Think You Can Dance all-stars will teach a live routine at this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll on April 6.

  1. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the length our First Lady goes to ensure our young kids are moving!!!! I also like the fact that she is a First Lady who is approachable, real and is so darn smart!!!!!!!

does being approachable and “keeping it real” require dancing for every interview?
And for those who say it’s a new day…It’s a new day but the same ol soup…Racism is very much alive in this “new day”…

As much as I love First Lady Michelle Obama, but if I see her dancing in one more video, TV talk show, or any other kind of show, I’m going to scream. I get it! that she’s young and vibrant, and all that good stuff. But, she’s also highly intelligent, and doesn’t have to “perform” in every interview, to be relatable. Especially, considering our history.

  3. Is it me, or did Ellen get a little too disrespectful with our First Lady. Maybe I am a little to sensitive but I thought she was kind of borderline disrespectful.
