Ethan Hawke will join his “Training Day” co-star Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua for MGM’s remake of “The Magnificent Seven,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Chris Pratt and Haley Bennett, who appeared with Washington in Fuqua’s thriller “The Equalizer,” are also in the cast.

The cast of the 1960 original starred Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson and Robert Vaughn in the story of a woman who hires a disparate group of gunslingers to protect her town from rampaging bandits. Bennett will play the woman in the remake.

Hawke is coming off his Oscar nomination for “Boyhood.” He also has several films in the can, including “Ten Thousand Saints,” which premiered at Sundance.
