Three 6 Mafia rapper Crunchy Black is wanted by police in Minnesota.
The 38-year-old ran afoul of the law after skipping a November court date to face charges for allegedly beating up his fiancée, as well as cocaine possession, TMZ reported Thursday.
The missed court appearance stems from an incident involving the rapper, whose real name is Darnell Carlton, last March, when guests at a Minnesota hotel heard “thuds and screaming” coming from his room, according to the website.
When a hotel employee showed up, Carlton’s fiancée, who was locked in the bathroom, would only come out if he would “stop beating her.”
When police showed up, Carlton was arrested and jailed for domestic violence as well as drug possession, after authorities found cocaine in his pocket.
The rapper, who won an Oscar for the song “It’s Hard Out Here For a Pimp,” would end up being charged with two counts of domestic assault and one count of drug possession, reports TMZ.
