Beverly Hills, CA – Breaking Glass Pictures acquires the feature film, “Hollywood Chaos,” for worldwide distribution and is set to release in February 2015. “Hollywood Chaos” stars Hollywood starlet Vanessa Simmons (Host of Lifetime’s Project Runway: Threads).
Simmons makes her lead role debut with the feature film, “Hollywood Chaos.” Her previous acting credits include television movies “Dysfunctional Friends” and “Worst. Prom. Ever.,” among other films and television shows, such as MTV’s Daddy’s Little Girls and Run’s House.“Hollywood Chaos” also stars Tyler Lepley from the cast of Tyler Perry’s The Haves & The Have Nots, airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Lepley plays Simmons love interest in “Hollywood Chaos” and delivers a charismatic performance, according to the film’s casting
director, Angela Marie Hutchinson.
“Vanessa was my absolute first choice for the role. She delivers an engaging and memorable performance alongside an incredibly talented ensemble cast,” Hutchinson says. “In other films that I have cast, convincing the producers that a certain actor or actress is right for a role can be a challenge, but not this time around,” since Hutchinson not only wrote the screenplay, but also produced the film.
The film’s behind-the-scenes featurette gives insight into the production process and advises filmmakers. Hutchinson encourages filmmakers to never give up on pursuing their dreams. Ten years ago, she first came up with the concept for “Hollywood Chaos” while browsing inside a Blockbuster with her mother during college spring break.
Weeks later after graduating from the University of Michigan with an Industrial & Operations engineering degree, Hutchinson drove alone cross country from Chicago to relocate to LA. She worked in the entertainment industry for several years before deciding to produce the script that she once had in the back seat of her former ’94 Geo Tracker during her cross-country road trip.
In the movie “Hollywood Chaos,” Simmons plays the character of Alexis Burns, a naïve entertainment reporter who is so desperate for a promotion that she exposes the secret lifestyles of her celebrity friends. When she realizes the consequences of airing her TV special, she is torn between moving up in her career and damaging her friendships.“Hollywood Chaos” is an intimate portrayal of deception, faith, love and the chaos in Hollywood, also starring Mykel Shannon Jenkins (The Bold & the Beautiful, Ugly Betty), Tangi Miller (Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Family Reunion”, Marcus Patrick (BET’s “I Do…I Did!”), among other rising stars and new faces.
The film is directed by Abel Vang who won the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ Nicholl Fellowship. “Hollywood Chaos” is BiH Entertainment’s debut film production, produced in association with BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD (BiH) and Olivia Entertainment. The film has a soundtrack of original music and score by Sony music producer Bruce “Automatic”and Ebony Rae Vanderveer of Inrage Entertainment.
