A rainy night in Maryland turns into a scene of tragedy as one car rear-ends another. Two sisters, Typhani Wilkerson, 35, and Tameika Curtis, 32, were killed, along with two children 1-year-old Hassein Boyd and 13-year-old Khadiua Ba.

Reports the NY Daily News:

On a rainy night in Oxon Hill, a Mercedes crashed into the back of an Acura at a red light, killing Acura passengers Hassan Boykin, 1, Khadiua Ba, 13, Tameika Curtis, 32, and Typhani Wilkerson, 35, police said.

Mercedes passenger Dominique Green, 21, was also killed.

Both drivers and a male Mercedes passenger survived, police said. The Acura driver was taken to the hospital in guarded condition while the Mercedes driver was hospitalized in critical condition. The Mercedes passenger did not have life-threatening injuries.

Police could not confirm the current condition of the survivors, spokeswoman Nicole Hubbard told the Daily News.

The crash left ten children motherless and the families have put up a GoFundMe page to help assist the children. You can find that page here.

“Thank you all for your love and support we need all the help that can be given and provided, Wilkerson’s brother, Michael posted. “We shall not say that you are gone, Too final is the sound. We’ll say instead, you’ve gone ahead, where heavenly joys abound.”
