Lifetime has plenty of holiday spirit coming this year, and it’s coming in the form of urban holiday films –starring En Vogue, Taraji P. Henson, Gladys Knight, Method Man and Jaleel White.
On Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, first up at 8 p.m. ET is An En Vogue Christmas, which doesn’t include ex-members Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson. But David Alan Grier stars in the film with current EV members Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis and former mouseketeer Rhona Bennett.
After the group becomes estranged, they are brought back together when the club they got their start at needs their help. The ladies reunite, but run into their former manager Marty (Grier) with whom they must overcome a difficult history.
But it’s the holidays, so they get into the spirit and work on forgiving each other and their former manager who broke them up.
Next up is Season of Love starring Henson, Method Man and Knight on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at 9 p.m. ET. Kyla (played by LeToya Luckett) and Amir’s (Cleo Anthony) new romance goes through challenges when his father dies and her ex, Miles (Rob Riley) comes back into the picture.
And lastly, The Santa Con airs on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014. It’s about a small-time con Nick DeMarco (Barry Watson) who is ordered by his parole officer to work minimum wage as a mall Santa.
He gets himself into trouble when he promises a little boy he can get his parents back together for Christmas. The film also stars Melissa Joan Hart, Wendy Williams and Jaleel White.
