Jackie Robinson West has just gotten a huge financial boost before their fall season begins!

So what if the kids from Chicago didn’t win the Little League World Series this Summer? They still snagged the U.S. title and that has translated into some big bucks for their team!

CBS Chicago reports that they received more than $164,481.17 from Dick’s Sporting Goods. The funds came from the sale of 12,000 t-shirts the store made to commemorate the team’s entrances into the series and their U.S. title. Originally, Dicks had only made up about 300 shirts, but those flew off the shelves in hour. After the store made more, they sold 7,000 shirts in a single morning.

The boys won’t be getting the money directly, but League President Bill Haley said the cash will be used to take care of the team’s fields. Considering the fact that they usually see a $30 profit from concessions at most, these t-shirt sales are quite a windfall.
