Jacque Reid talks to Christelyn Karazin, co-author of Swirling and brand ambassador of about interracial dating and how it may feel to be married to someone of the opposite sex while situations like Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown are going on in the world.

“We have not always seen eye to eye. Not only is my husband white but he’s a fiscal Republican. I think there’s an assumption that white people are genetically not going to understand us because our skin is not the same,” she says. “Being married to me, these are things that are now his issues.”
