More than a week after news dropped of Ciara and Future’s break-up, details are surfacing regarding the rapper’s infidelity.
An insider revealed to US Weekly that Future cheated on the singer with his wardrobe consultant, Tyrina Lee. Lee’s professional relationship with the 30-year-old rhymesayer involved her being his stylist for his music and photo shoots, in addition to serving as his personal shopper.
As for how Ciara got wind of the affair, the insider mentioned that she only had to look as far as the rumor mill.
“She found out about the affair through multiple sources in recent weeks,” the insider shared with US. “There was clear evidence when she approached Future about the cheating. This was clearly not just a one-night thing.”
Future’s affair resulted in Ciara being “devastated” by the betrayal. The couple officially split last week, just three months after welcoming their newborn son, Future Zahir Wilburn, in to the world in May. The split is a far cry from how Ciara and Future felt about each other when he got engaged to the 28-year-old vocalist after surprising her with a 15-carat diamond ring last October.
“Our label put us together,” Ciara told Brides magazine in its July 2014 issue. “I went into the studio strictly to work, but he was very calm and sweet, a gentleman… I knew right away that he was different. Now he’s my best friend in the world, my partner.”
Relationship history aside, things have definitely changed. Declaring that Ciara and Future are done as a couple, another source told Us, “He cheated on her. Game over.”
