Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy are saying goodbye to The View next week.
ABC says their final appearance as co-hosts of the daytime talk show will air Monday.
The pre-taped episode celebrates Shepherd’s seven years with the show. ABC said Thursday that gospel singers Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin and Donnie McClurkin perform a special song dedicated to Shepherd.
McCarthy received a lower-key farewell on Thursday’s show, with highlight clips from her single season as co-host.
Shepherd and McCarthy said in June that they would be leaving The View. It’s part of the show’s upheaval after creator Barbara Walters retired from on-camera duties.
The show will be in reruns starting Tuesday until its new season begins in September. There’s been no announcement of who will join remaining co-host Whoopi Goldberg and the returning Rosie O’Donnell.

I for one is very sad to see Sherri leave the “The View”. I loved Sherri’s positive attitude, her unique insight to lead stories and her view on political topic. It was like hearing from a friend. Yes, Sherri is extremely funny but I also like her very smart and frank discussions of any topic. I pray that all of he problems she as with the no good men in her life gets settle soon and that she finds a bigger platform to show her dynamic talent. Will miss u and will also continue to prayer that you remain strong through your current ordeal and that you come remaining the strong intelligent and talented person you have always been. Take care!
Sherri glad to see your phony a** go. But out the door learn that your best friends come in your color and not with blonde hair. You tried to throw shade too much shade at Whoopie.
Ana I hope that after you posted this comment and that you looked at it again and felt really stupid! So you don’t think an African American women can have a blonde best friend? Why are you tripping on Sherri’s friendships???? Also, Jenny McCarthy is a nice friend to have. She seems very out to today’s world and she seems loyal to Sherri. I started to rip you a new one BUT realized that I now pity you! It’s 2014 and you haven’t learned that friendship is not made up of one’s only color – friendship is based on a persons character and how they treat you.
Sherri, I will miss your lovely smile and your different types of hair. Many blessings in all that you do. Good luck on broadway.
Sherri contract was not renewed because of the mess with her ex- strange husband. The View does not want that type of publicity when it comes to Black Folks.
Whoppi needs to leave. She talks over everybody and no one can get a word in.
